Ocarina is derived from the Italian diminutive for "goose," probably having something to do with its shape. It's not easy to play, but there's one person in every group who has the panache, courage, or lack of good sense to want to play it. Ours is an Alto C model with lots of neat holes for the player to make sense of. Made in the USA in a deeply attractive blue - but occasionally available in red.
